Following [livejournal.com profile] ylla's post about the guardian top 20 geek books, I thought it would be interesting to see how this compared to how well read they were, so a poll...

(Feel free to post comments with any you particularly recommend reading)

I've read bits of the HHGTTG script, and have read other books by Iain M Banks. I've read one or two Heinleins, but can't remember whether they include Stranger in a Strange Land.

I keep meaning to read Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? and 1984, but I've just never found copies of them when I was in the mood for it.

I dipped into a few pages of the Illuminatus! Trilogy and found something about a bloke shagging a golden apple. It was very weird and didn't make me inclined to read the rest of it.

P.S. I am appalled that nobody else has read Stranger In A Strange Land. I shall smite them all forthwith.

The majority of those I haven't read are on my list of things to read though and, with the exception of Douglas Coupland, Robert Shea & Robert Anton Wilson, Neal Stephenson and Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons, I've read other books of all the authors (actually I may have read some of the exceptions too and not remembered, I read too much! :)
