This week the date of the next general election has been announced, which means it's that time again when we get flooded with paraphernalia telling us why their views are best and, more importantly because they're not very good at arguing their good points, as many faults as possible with the others. After all, you don't want to vote for candidate X, because his feet smell and we can't have someone with smelly feet running the country now can we?

As we're all going to be faced over the next few weeks with party political broadcasts with politicians extolling the broadly similar policies just in different colours, and we'll all be bored stupid by them, have something different to think about first.
