Ikea for Bees

OK, encouraging more bees seems to be a good thing, so it was interesting to here about this on the Today programme this morning:

It's basically about the new ikea-style beehaus from Omlet:



I have now spent all morning telling myself I've got no space for pet bees (which is true as I don't have a garden). Maybe the message will get through eventually... ,but ,but ,but pet bees!

I think this is perfect. There will be more bees, and letting agents who think that people shouldn't have actual personalities and food falls like manna from heaven in the middle of cities untouched by nature, will think beehives look like that, and will mistake real beehives for a pile of wood.

Alas, I suspect the living room isn't the place for one of these, so I may have to give it a miss though.
