Mushrooms

There are mushrooms in this week's vegbox. The world is truely a glorous place today :-)

Don't worry, I do have more to say other than just "yum".

I had a conversation with my sister about mushrooms (yes, I talk to people about the most interesting of topics, don't I?) and how to prepare them, which we do very differently, so out of curiousity, a poll:

I give them to someone else. The one time I tried cooking mushrooms for other people to eat, someone else had to take over after the smell drove me out of the kitchen. That was the last time I agreed to cook something I wouldn't eat.

Dump into a frying pan with some butter.

Then throw the pan on the floor so the melted butter explodes into a glorious fireball lit by the gas, and the shrooms go all over the place, judging by last Wightfrag :-)

Get the little bits of compost off, usually by rinsing them, and if there's a particularly deformed and hard to clean bit, by cutting that part off.
