Has the SLC finally got their act together?

The height of incompetence that is the Student Loan Company, appear to have finally realised that, although they wrote 5 years ago, saying they were going to start taking repayments, they have so far failed to do so.

I guess this might mean they might actually start taxing me for some of it back. *is still shocked at how incompetent they can actually be*

Given past experience with them, I think I'd best keep a photocopy of this form with my employers details on and then send it recorded delivery, just to be prepared for them to lose it and try and fine me for ignoring it.

Yes, but no student loan repayments as yet, even though they said they would arrange it 5 years ago.

My employer has done everything they need to, they just haven't been told they need to deduct student loans repayments as the SLC never arranged it as they said they were going to 5 years ago.

SLC seem to think I've skipped the country for some reason. Although they also seem to know full well where I am. Then again they always were a bit odd when I had to deal with them at uni.

I just calculated that at my current rate of repayments I will no longer owe the SLC money somewhere around the year 3000AD.

At my current rate of repayment it will take me an infinite amount of time to pay mine off.

Although, that looks set to change and besides even if it didn't I suspect I'd reach 65 before the infinite amount of time was up.

I have a suspicion that as I'm on the old system, if I carry on for much longer like this (ie broke) they have to let me off eventually.
