Chalktown Ceilidh
Feb. 12th, 2006 06:32 pmSo, in the end having asked you all where to go, I ignored you and went to Haywards Heath.
Decided I couldn't really afford to go to Cambridge 3 weekends in a row, even if by the sounds of things I missed a really good ceilidh up there.
Anyway, Chalktown were a really good band with plenty of energy and Cat Kelly is generally a really good caller. She didn't seem to be on her best form last night (she was certainly much better at the Gloworms ceilidh in December), but it was still a good evening and it was nice to dance with the Mythago people as I haven't been to a ceilidh with them in ages.
Did however get mistaken for being a sixth former by the people on the door when I arrived. I'm really not sure what to think about that? Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Date: 2006-02-13 08:16 am (UTC)It happens to me occasionally but I think that's mostly because I'm small (5'2"). People tend to assume little = young.

whether you mind being thought of as the wrong age.
Not really, I just found it rather amusing really to have lost 8 or years.
Then again, to contrast with that
Maybe I'm just being 25 by stealth...
mostly because I'm small (5'2")
I suspect that's not the issue in my case as I'm not that small (6'4")...
